As a writer for The New York Times Book Review, I wanted to revisit the book through the eyes of the man who crafted it. I wrote about our time together for an article that was published online this month.
When police officers arrived, Ms. Lee, 25,66jogo refused to let them into her apartment and threatened to stab one of them. An officer then rammed through the locked front door, according to body camera footage released by the New Jersey attorney general’s office. Indoors: This duplex’s front door opens to the main level, with the kitchen closer to the door and the sitting area at the far end of the space. Windows face the building’s courtyard and pool area, and sliding-glass doors open to one of three terraces. The ceilings are concrete and the floors are ceramic tile.
The kitchen also has terrace access and can hold a dining table. It has stainless steel appliances by Sub-Zero and Bosch, including a range with an electric cooktop. A powder room is nearby, as are stairs to the second floor.
aaawinThere are two large en suite bedrooms, either of which could be considered the primary. The first-floor bedroom can fit a king-size bed and has several closets and floor-to-ceiling windows that look out over another terrace. Its bathroom has a shower and a deep soaking tub.
Upstairs is a lofted space used as a den, with access to the second bedroom suite, also large enough for a king-size bed. The attached bathroom has the same porcelain-and-chrome tub as the one downstairs, as well as access to a private outdoor terrace.
